We stayed in Holiday Village Turkey in the middle of September 2015 for 2 weeks and we had great time. We travelled with FirstChoice.
Room 5146 (suite)
We booked a suite (5146) and we really liked it. Our suite had a lovely view over Jacuzzi pool and pool bar, separate lounge, comfy bed, loads of storage space, whirlpool bath with shower attachment, 2 TVs, 2 air con units and it is located next to relax pool 3. It was quite loud in our room especially when the evening entertainment was on but we didn’t mind. Room was clean, towels and bedding changed very often (except Wednesday).
Pools
We never had any problems with finding sunbeds at Holiday Village Turkey. Although if you are looking for sunbeds just next to the pool (first line) you need to wake up really early. We preferred sunbeds and shade under canopy between huge water pipes. We loved relaxing in Jacuzzi pool, always busy with activities main pool and slides pool with 4 slides. We also tried relax pool 3, very quiet. Indoor pool was very cold but a great alternative when it was raining outside.
Beach and sea
Beach at Holiday Village Turkey was too quiet, too hot and too far away from bar for us. But we went for a swim couple of times and it was great. Water was very warm, even warmer than in pools. Water gets deep quite quick and I would recommend wearing water/swimming shoes. It’s really hard to get out of the sea without shoes. Beach is sandy and it becomes shingle with bigger and bigger stones closer to the sea.
Restaurants and bars
Breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant were great, huge choice for all tastes. Lunch at pool/snack bar was tasty but in my opinion average due to small variety. For me lunch was a low point of the Holiday Village Turkey. We also tried midnight snack when we arrived. Not a lot of choice but everything was hot and tasty. Toasts at beach bar were good but a little bit dry for me. Pancake hut and pancakes were lovely if you are in to very sweet snack. We liked it. 4 flavours of ice cream available during the day. Non alcoholic drinks good. Alcoholic drinks very weak but OK.
Entertainment
I’ve tried water roller and water ball. Great fun and very exhausting. We also liked daily quiz. We haven’t tried any other activities but there was always something happening during the day. Evening entertainment at Holiday Village Turkey wasn’t our cup of tea so I can’t comment on it (mostly karaoke and bingo). We spend most evenings at chill out bar/beach bar.
Hotel grounds
Gardens and grounds at Holiday Village Turkey are stunning. Especially tunnel leading to the beach. There are loads of different plants and flowers everywhere.
Games room and shops
Games room in my opinion was good price. Shops in the hotel had good variety of products/souvenirs at a good prices. Always haggle when you want to buy more items.
Excursions
We tried Thomson’s 3 in 1 Dalyan trip with mud baths & rock tomb
