This was our second visit to Lindos. This time we used public transport (bus) and arrived in Lindos in the morning as advised by our hotel tour operator. This was a very big mistake. Huge amount of people were trying to enter Lindos town in the morning. We wondered around lovely streets and shops but it got too crowded and it wasn’t enjoyable any more so we decided to buy 2 beach towels and head to the beach instead. We had great time at the beach, even tried paddle boarding and after lunch we went back to Lindos. This time most of the tourists were already gone, streets were quite empty and we could finally start enjoying Lindos. We started exploring picture perfect streets covered in tiny mosaic stones, surrounded by white buildings and various plants and a lot of local cats, we also visited a lot of souvenir shops. Yes Lindos is an expensive place to visit but it’s worth it. My only advice is to arrive after lunch or arrive in the morning and spend the morning on one of the available beaches. Also remember to bring water, comfortable shoes, hat, sunglasses and sun cream. Also pack a swimsuit, just in case. Enjoy your visit.
