Looking for an honest TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Park Hotel review? We stayed at this family-friendly resort in June 2026 for one week, travelling as a family of three: two adults and our four-year-old daughter. In this review, we share our experience of the hotel rooms, food, swimming pools, waterpark, beach, children’s activities and entertainment, along with some useful tips for families planning an all-inclusive holiday in Rhodes.
Overall, we had a lovely stay at TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Park Hotel and would recommend it to families, particularly those travelling with younger children.
Arrival and check-in at TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Park Hotel
Our family holiday in Rhodes didn’t get off to the best start because our flight was delayed. When we arrived at Rhodes Airport, there was an enormous queue for passport control stretching outside the terminal, and collecting our luggage also took a very long time.
Thankfully, our TUI transfer coach was waiting for us. The journey to the hotel took longer than advertised on the TUI website, but we were pleased to finally arrive at the resort.
As it was late, we had hoped for a warm meal, but only sandwiches were available. We were taken to our room in a golf cart, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, nobody helped us with our luggage, and our first-floor room was accessible only by stairs, as there was no lift available. This wasn’t ideal when travelling with a young child and several suitcases.
TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Park Hotel rooms
We stayed in room 414, which was on the first floor and offered a lovely view overlooking the main swimming pools and waterpark.
The family room was spacious, with a large, comfortable double bed for the adults and two single beds for children. There was also a partition door separating the adult bedroom from the children’s sleeping area, although we didn’t need to use it during our stay.
We had plenty of space for three suitcases and two large backpacks, along with generous wardrobe storage.
One thing parents should be aware of is that the children’s single beds were quite high, so younger children could be at risk of falling out.
The bathroom had a shower over the bath, excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. A window was particularly useful after three people had taken their showers or baths. We also appreciated the step stool provided for children to reach the sink and toilet.
Another family-friendly feature was the Disney Junior channel in English, which came in handy when our daughter wanted some downtime.
Our room also had a large balcony with a table, two chairs and a spacious clothes dryer.
Room tips for families:
- Bring clothes pegs because it can get windy on the balcony, particularly in the evening and overnight.
- Pack insect repellent, as you’ll likely need it.
- If you’re travelling with younger children, take extra care with the height of the single beds.
Food and restaurants at TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Park Hotel
Food is an important part of any all-inclusive family holiday, and we were pleased with the selection at TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Park Hotel.
During our stay, we mainly ate at the main restaurant and Snack Corner. Although the main restaurant isn’t particularly large, there was a good variety of dishes available.
Our four-year-old daughter is quite a picky eater, but she always managed to find something she liked, either in the children’s section or among the dishes in the main restaurant. The lunch and dinner selections also changed daily, so there was always something different to try.
Overall, the food was very tasty, and we were happy with the variety.
We also visited Snack Corner a couple of times for burgers, French fries and cheese toasties, which were delicious.
The pool bar offered a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, ice cream, slushies and popcorn. One feature I particularly liked was the small steps provided for children, allowing them to reach the counter and order their own drinks and snacks. It was a thoughtful touch that made the experience more enjoyable for little ones.
Our favourite drinks were the Blue Lagoon, frappé, Love Story and Passion Mojito.
Another highlight was the Waffle Cart, which served delicious waffles on sticks. We only discovered it towards the end of our holiday, which was a shame! It isn’t shown on the main hotel map, so check the TUI information leaflets or app to find it.
Swimming pools at TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Park Hotel
One of the highlights of this family-friendly hotel in Rhodes was the choice of swimming pools. There were four main pools, catering to different ages and preferences.
Main swimming pool
The large main pool featured little fountains, shallow areas at both ends and a gradual increase in depth towards the middle. There was also a jacuzzi, which seemed particularly popular with children.
Activity pool
The activity pool was noticeably colder than the other pools during our stay. As the name suggests, it was mainly used for organised activities, including water polo and SUP yoga.
Children’s pool
Our little one had a great option for water play with the children’s pool, featuring a pirate ship, slide, fountains and tipping buckets. It was a fun area for younger guests.
Baby pool
There was also a shallow baby pool with a very useful sun canopy, located next to the kids’ club. This was a particularly convenient option for families with babies and toddlers.
We were impressed by the number of comfortable sun loungers and parasols around the main pools. We never struggled to find somewhere to relax while our daughter enjoyed the water.
There was another pool with a swim-up bar across the road, closer to the waterpark. During our stay, it appeared to be used mainly by guests staying in the Premium Rooms.
Waterpark at TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Park Hotel
The hotel waterpark features large slides, a splash park, a baby splash park and a lazy river. It looked like a fantastic place for families who enjoy water activities.
However, we decided not to use it during our stay. The walk felt quite long in the heat, particularly with a four-year-old and all the essentials needed for a family day out.
We also couldn’t find a convenient place to get food or drinks in the waterpark area. Since everything we needed was available around the main hotel pools, we preferred to stay there.
For families planning to spend a lot of time at the waterpark, it’s worth considering the walking distance and taking everything you need with you.
Beach near TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Park Hotel
The hotel is next to a public beach, rather than having a private beach exclusively for guests.
If you want to spend longer at the beach and use a sun lounger and parasol, you’ll need to pay extra. There are also no food or drink facilities directly on the beach.
Swimming shoes are essential, as the beach is made up of pebbles.
The sea was lovely and warm during our visit, making it ideal for a quick family swim. However, we wouldn’t recommend spending the entire day there, especially with younger children, as there isn’t much to do and no refreshments are available.
For our family, the hotel pools were a much more convenient option for a full day of swimming and relaxation.
Activities and entertainment for families
TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Park Hotel offers a daily programme of children’s, adults’ and family activities. The schedule can be checked on the screen in the main restaurant or through the hotel app.
I tried SUP yoga, which was great fun but much harder than I expected. You need to book through the app, so remember to reserve your place in advance.
Our daughter attended the Bamse Club kids’ club once, but she preferred being outdoors and splashing around in the pools rather than spending time indoors.
We also enjoyed the children’s disco before dinner and quiz nights while eating our evening meal.
Our daughter’s favourite entertainment was the live music. She loved dancing in front of the stage and could happily have stayed there all evening.
We also tried the mini golf, which was lots of fun. Remember to book it in advance.
For more active guests, there is an area near the hotel entrance for beach volleyball, football and basketball, as well as tennis court. Guests can also use the indoor and outdoor gyms or participate in activities at the Outdoor Wellness Platform.
There was plenty to keep both adults and children entertained throughout our stay.
Playgrounds and children’s facilities
The hotel has several play areas, although their usefulness depends on the time of day and the weather.
The main outdoor playground is next to the main restaurant. During the day, it was usually empty because the equipment became far too hot in the sunshine. I would strongly recommend adding a sun canopy so children can enjoy the playground throughout the day.
In the evening, however, it was a different story. The playground was full of children having fun, and our daughter absolutely loved it. We couldn’t even return to our room without stopping there first.
There is also a small indoor soft-play area next to the Mini Market. We only visited once, as it seemed more suitable for babies and very young children.
Another playground is located next to the beach. It is a lovely play area with sand, but it was too hot to use during the day. In the evening, there were lots of insects flying around, so we only visited once.
Although the outdoor playgrounds are a nice addition for families, more shade and better insect control would make them more enjoyable.
Shops and nearby amenities
There is a convenient Mini Market inside the hotel, just below reception, where you can buy everyday essentials.
If you need a wider selection, simply leave the hotel and turn left. There is a larger shop nearby selling food, toys, inflatables, clothes and other holiday essentials.
Having shops within easy reach was particularly useful when travelling with a young child.
Hotel grounds and cleanliness
The hotel grounds were beautifully maintained and very clean throughout our stay.
One interesting feature is the hotel’s own vegetable garden, located just behind the main swimming pool. It was lovely to see this extra touch and added to the overall impression that the resort was well cared for.
Staff and customer service
The staff deserve a special mention. They were consistently smiling, hardworking and happy to help, which made a real difference to our holiday.
Thank you to the whole team for all your hard work! You are doing an amazing job, and the hotel wouldn’t be the same without you.
Late check-out at TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Park Hotel
We decided to pay extra for late check-out, which allowed us to keep our room until the very end of our stay.
This was extremely convenient when travelling with a young child, as we could shower, change and pack everything without rushing or having to spend the final hours of our holiday without a room.
However, we did find it quite expensive. Whether it’s worth the extra cost will depend on your departure time and how much you value having access to your room on the final day.
Return transfer to Rhodes Airport
Our journey back to Rhodes Airport was much smoother than our arrival. The coach was comfortable, baggage drop-off was quick, and we got through security without any problems.
After the long and stressful journey at the start of our holiday, it was a welcome change.
Is TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Park Hotel worth visiting?
Yes! We would recommend TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Park Hotel to families looking for a fun and relaxing all inclusive holiday in Rhodes.
We had a lovely week and came away with some wonderful family memories. Our highlights included the friendly staff, tasty food, choice of swimming pools, daily entertainment and family-friendly facilities.
Our daughter particularly loved the children’s pool, evening playground visits and dancing to the live music. There was plenty to keep her entertained throughout the week, and we appreciated having so many activities available within the resort.
There are a few areas that could be improved, including assistance with luggage on arrival, shade over the outdoor playgrounds and more convenient access to refreshments around the waterpark.
Nevertheless, these things didn’t stop us from enjoying our holiday.
For families with younger children, the combination of swimming pools, children’s entertainment, varied food options and comfortable rooms makes this a great option to consider when planning a your next family holiday.
Our top tips: Pack swimming shoes, insect repellent and clothes pegs, check the activity schedule in the hotel app, book activities such as mini golf and SUP yoga in advance, and make sure you find the Waffle Cart before the end of your stay.
We would happily recommend TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Park Hotel to other families looking for an enjoyable summer holiday in Rhodes.
